In contrast, the fish die within seconds of leaving the water, even though typical aquarium fish can survive at least five minutes or so (likely Acceptable Breaks from Reality to balance gameplay difficulty). The game makes no distinction between either, with all of them able to survive in any water, and in Piranha's case, blood.
